Legibee Learning Academy is a private micro-school serving 7th and 8th grade students in Florida. We specialize in personalized, small-group instruction that meets every student where they are and moves them forward faster than a traditional classroom ever could.

Our founder is an intervention teacher whose current students work in small groups of just two to three and have produced results that speak for themselves. Those results are the reason this school exists.

The results below come from our founder's current intervention work with students in grades 4–8 in small-group reading and math sessions. This is the same personalized, real-world teaching approach that Legibee Learning Academy brings to 7th and 8th grade, full time.

Our founder is an intervention reading and math specialist who currently works with 21 students in grades 4–8 in small groups of 2–3 students at a time. The results are not from a classroom of 30. They come from intentional, personalized, real-world instruction, the exact model Legibee Learning Academy is built on.

Is this a tutoring program or a full-time school? +
Legibee Learning Academy is a full-time specialized micro-school, not a tutoring program. Students attend as their primary school. The results shown on this page come from our founder's current small-group intervention work, which demonstrates the effectiveness of the teaching model the academy is built around.
What subjects does the academy cover? +
We offer a complete academic program including Math, Reading & Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Health & Wellness, and Life Skills elective courses, all tailored to 7th and 8th grade students with a personalized, small-group approach.
Why are the results shown for grades 4–8 if the school serves 7th and 8th? +
Our founder has hands-on experience teaching middle school students at Roosevelt Middle and High School in Lake Wales. She currently works as an intervention reading and math teacher with students in grades 4–8, teaching in small groups of two to three. The results her students achieve show the effectiveness of this approach. Legibee Learning Academy brings the same model full-time, tailored specifically for 7th and 8th grade students.
How quickly will my child see improvement? +
Most students in our founder's current small groups show measurable improvement within the first 4–6 weeks. Over 85% have improved at least one full grade level. The full-school model at Legibee is designed to compound those gains over a full academic year.
My child has struggled in traditional school. Is this a good fit? +
Legibee Learning Academy was built specifically for students who haven't thrived in a traditional classroom setting, not because they can't learn, but because traditional classrooms haven't found the right way to reach them. Our small-group, personalized, real-world approach is a fundamentally different experience.
My child has ADHD, dyslexia, an IEP, or ADD. Does this school provide support? +
Yes. At Legibee Learning Academy, we support high-functioning students with ADHD, dyslexia, and similar learning differences by providing focused, small-group instruction in reading and math. Our goal is to help students build the skills and confidence they need to work independently and succeed academically. While we do not provide therapy or the full range of services found in public schools, our program gives students the tools to thrive in a classroom and beyond.

We believe parents should always know where their child stands. We provide regular progress communication so you always understand what your child has mastered, where they're growing, and what's coming next. No surprises. Ever.
