I started Legibee Learning Academy because I have spent over a decade watching capable students fall through the cracks. Not because they could not learn, but because no one had figured out how to teach them in a way that actually works.
As the founder, I bring a combination of classroom experience, legal and business knowledge, and a real understanding of what students with learning differences need to succeed.
I work with students who learn differently, including those with dyslexia, ADHD, and high functioning autism. I know how to adjust instruction so the material makes sense, students can keep up, and their confidence starts to grow. During my time at Roosevelt Academy as both a teacher and substitute, I worked closely with IEPs and 504 Plans and learned how to turn those documents into real, everyday support that makes a difference in the classroom.
My approach is different because I do not come from education alone. I have over a decade of experience as a paralegal and legal assistant in criminal and real estate law, along with financial and operational experience working with organizations like Levy Restaurants and Union Planters. I also spent five years as a case manager and business consultant, including launching the Summer Youth Program at Roosevelt Middle and High School for the 2024 to 2025 school year through CareerSource. That background shapes how I run this school with structure, accountability, and purpose.
I hold a Florida Teaching Certificate, a Bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida, a certificate in Paralegal Studies, and an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice. I am also a graduate of the Bartow Leadership Program and have served as a mentor and coordinator for the Women of Tomorrow program, helping young women build leadership and life skills.
Legibee was built on a simple belief. Students are not the problem. The environment is. When class sizes are small, instruction is personalized, and students are given the time and support they need, they grow. This school is designed to be that environment. Structured, supportive, and built around the student in front of me.
